She has remained very close to her husband’s family and greatly enjoyed talking to them over the phone and visiting in person. Marjorie, Ed, Nancy, Jimmy, Patty, and Jennifer, to name a few, have been wonderful to her over the years and were loved by her dearly. She was always showing their family pictures to the rest of the family as she really enjoyed receiving the family photos.
Wilma moved to Washington, DC where she met Jeanne DeMent, Gaye and Mike Monaghan, and many other friends that she remained close with her entire life. Wilma worked at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD for about 33 years. She became very close friends with Doug, Bonnie, Pat, Ethel, and many others. She worked for Long & Foster Kent Island for about 18 years and became very close friends with Bill, Lynn, and many others. Wilma also volunteered for the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Edgewater, MD until 1986, and Stevensville, MD until 2001. She always volunteered to help with the Annual Christmas Party. She had a lot of wonderful friends that she and her husband met through the American Legion.
