Obituary for Steven Douglas Clifford

Steven Douglas Clifford, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at UPMC Harrisburg Hospital, Harrisburg, PA. He was born on June 1, 1959 in Hagerstown, MD to the late Grace Clifford.

Known as “Stevie” to all of his family and close friends, he worked at Grove Crane Manufacturing for over 30 years. He enjoyed anything involving being outdoors. Some of his favorite hobbies included fishing, hunting and riding his Harley. One of his favorite pasttimes was traveling with his wife, Sisie, of 41 years. He loved being with his family and sharing a cold beer with his friends. He never met a stranger and will be greatly missed by anyone who knew him.

In addition to his mother, Steven was preceded in death by his brothers, Herman and William Clifford.

Steven is survived by his wife, Sisie Clifford, sons, Frank Clifford and his wife Brandi of Big Pool, MD and Matt Clifford and his girlfriend, Jamie of Sharpsburg, MD, daughter Stacy Clifford of Warfordsburg, PA, grandchildren, Breyana, Sierrah, Joycelynn Shaw and Harley Weippert of Warfordsburg, PA, brothers, Thomas Clifford of Clearspring, MD, Wayne Clifford and his wife Diane of Hagerstown, MD, Bruce Clifford and his wife Jenny of Downsville, MD, mother-in-law, Patricia Netz, step-mother-in-law, Pat Netz, sister-in-law, Dixie Clifford and Debbie Clifford, both of Hagerstown, MD, also survived by many Brothers-in-laws, sisters-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews, along with special friends, Penny and Bobby Hall and his best pal and furbaby, Yuengling, whom he loved very much.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 23rd from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at Harman Funeral Home, 305 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD, where funeral services will be held on Friday, March 24th at 11:00am.
