Obituary for Silas Deloss Wolfensberger Jr.

Silas Deloss Wolfensberger Jr “ Snuffy” of Maugansville, MD, passed away at Charlotte’s Home on Monday, April 5, 2021.
Born in Maugansville, MD on May 19th, 1933, he was the son of the late Silas and Agnes (Munday).
He was preceded in death by his Grandson Jeremy McAfee and wife Janice Wolfensberger, siblings sisters, Betty Moore, Darce Brown, and brothers, James “Jim” Wolfensberger and Charles “Pete” Wolfensberger, all of Hagerstown.
Silas was employed by Jamison Door Company for 25 years. He served in the United States Air Force and was a member of the Morris Frock American Legion Post 42.
He was a fan of the Washington Redskins and the Washington Nationals. His biggest love was following his grandson Jeremy to all his sporting events including Baseball, Football, and Bowling. He was very very proud of him especially his career in the Military. He was a very active bowler at Southside Bowl and he spent many years going to Charleston Race Track to bet on the horses, in his later years you could find him at the Food Court at the Valley Mall playing Keno for hours.
He is survived by his daughter Lisa M. McAfee of Savannah, GA and one sister, Margaret “Peggy” Fahrney and husband Bill of Hagerstown. Also one Granddaughter Christina McAfee and her Fiancé Tony Pierson of Martinsburg, WV, Great Granddaughters Kiersten Smith and Kaylie McAfee, Grandsons Tyler Harbin and Grayson McAfee and a Great Great Granddaughter Kylie Comeau. Multiple nieces and nephews including Kristie Brown Brennan that helped very much the last 4 years in taking care of him.
Also a very special friend Virginia Ginny Emerson.
