Obituary for Rosetta Lavina Gorman
Rosetta LaVina Gorman, age 86, of Hagerstown, MD and formerly of Mercersburg, PA died on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at Meritus Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born on July 21, 1936 in Chambersburg, PA to the late Harry Thomas, Sr. and Dora LaVina (Gallagher) Gorman.
Rosetta loved flowers and to garden, she enjoyed helping people and cooking, especially for her family. She also enjoyed spending her time playing cards.
Rosetta attended the Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, Rosetta was preceded in death by her daughter, April Marie Wetzel and her two brothers, Harry T. Gorman, Jr., and Wayne M. Gorman.
Rosetta was the loving and devoted mother of Rock Wetzel and his wife Cathy of Hagerstown, MD, proud grandmother to her step-grandson, Carlton Lee Mitchell, IV, great-grandmother of her step-great-granddaughter Asalee Mitchell and step-great-grandson, Damon Mitchell, sister-in-law of Annetta Gorman of Frederick, MD, aunt to Cynthia Hamilton and her children, Michael, David and Jessica.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 4th at 12:00 noon at Harman Funeral Home, 305 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm at Parklawn Memorial Gardens, 3218 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg, PA 17201.
