Dick lived his life to the fullest and was always quick to make friends; nobody was a stranger. He particularly enjoyed politics and was involved in many local, state, and national campaigns over the years. He was proud to be a lifelong Republican and always willing to engage in political banter. He was a past commander of the Morris Frock American Legion Post #42 and supported many veteran activities.

Over the years he also enjoyed following the Baltimore Colts and later the Baltimore Ravens; coaching little league baseball; volunteering for Hospice of Washington County and spending time with family and friends.
During his final days, Dick was expertly and tenderly cared for by the wonderful staff at Doey’s House. He was so appreciative of all that was done for him, as was his family who will be forever grateful.
