Obituary for Myna Lorraine Wandless (Kidwiler)
Myna L. Wandless Myna Lorraine Wandless, 80 of Shepherdstown, WV, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2022 in the comfort of her home. Myna, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.
Born on April 16, 1942 in Charlestown to the late Harwood and Charlotte Morrison Kidwiler.
Myna graduated from Shepherdstown High School in 1960. She was employed as the Childcare Director in Norwich, Connecticut, but more importantly throughout her life she raised four grandchildren in her loving home who knew her as “Jen”.
On June 23, 1961 she married the love of her life, Stephen M. Wandless. Myna could always be found outside, creating something beautiful out of nothing. Some of her fondest memories were spent in her flower beds or putting thoughtful touches into her beautiful home. She enjoyed being out in the sun mowing or tending to the yard work. She made sure to make everyone feel welcomed.
Myna is survived by her husband of 61 years Stephen Wandless; sister Linda (Rick) Halter, two daughters Mylene (John) Billmyer; Marla (Scott) Tennant; four grandchildren Stephanie (Keith) Freeman, Jeffrey Craze and wife Tiffany, Elicia Elkins, Casey Billmyer and wife Courtney; as well as four great grandchildren Christian, Connor, Carson, and Clayton. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Emory (Patricia) Kidwiler and sister Judith (Jerry) Ficklin.
A celebration of life will be held starting at 1 p.m. on Sept. 3, 2022 at Uvilla First Methodist Church located at 4179 Shepherdstown Pike, Shenandoah Junction, WV 25442.
