Obituary for Michelle Renee Lyons
Michelle Lyons, 49, of Cascade MD, passed away at her home on March 23, 2023. She was born on May 26, 1973, to Joan and Michael Lyons.
She was a loving and kind-hearted single mother who is survived by her son, Adam; her brother, Stephen; her father, Michael; and her two dogs, Muppet and Scrappy.
Michelle graduated from St. Maria Goretti Catholic High School, and following this attended both Hagerstown Community College and Frederick Community College. She then worked for the United States Postal Service in Frederick, MD where she worked her way to becoming a Mail Processing Supervisor and then retired after 20 years.
Michelle had the kind of personality that drew people to her. She was described by her friends as someone who was smart, funny, beautiful, and caring. She had a big heart that led her to helping anyone that she could and often being the kind of person who would give away the shirt off their own back. She always prioritized helping her son and loved ones above all else.
Michelle’s importance to her friends and family could not be understated, and her loss will leave
a large impact on all those that loved her.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place from 2pm to 4 pm on April 22 at the
American Legion, 14418 MacAfee Hill Road, Cascade, MD.
