Obituary for Mark Allen Smith Sr.
Mark Allen Smith Sr., aka “SMITTY”, 57, died suddenly on December 18, 2020 doing what he loved the most, painting!
He was born February 14, 1963 in Hagerstown MD. Mark attended South Hagerstown High School, and was well known for his craftmanship and passion for painting. He was known in the town as a “West End Legend”. His love for his children and grandchildren was past this world. His love for his fiancé Brenda and his animals was beyond what words could explain. This man was so crafty and handy he had every tool known to mankind. He will be greatly missed by many.
He is survived by his fiancé, Brenda Wingfield, of Newville, PA, where they lived together; his children- three daughters, Kacee Smith, Jamie Smith, and Jennifer Hedgecock, and one son, Mark Smith Jr., of Hagerstown, MD; nine grandchildren, Janelle, Johnny, Nadia, Mark III, Dezmyn, Tiarah, Londyn, Armani, and Kaelynn, his sister Tina Gossard, and her husband, Gary, known as Marks best friend, his brother Stanley Mitchell, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Helen Roman Mitchell, his stepfather Lee Mitchell, his sister Ginger Kauffman, and his brother, Bill Graver.
