Obituary for Mark Kendall Lamar
Mark Kendall Lamar, 28 of Waynesboro, PA unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022. He was born April 22,1994 in Hagerstown, MD to Derrick and Margaret Lamar.
Mark was a 2012 graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School. He attended Job Corps in Pittsburgh, PA where he studied to be an electrician. Mark was a devoted father who loved his daughter deeply. He loved being in nature, basking in the sun, and eating organic foods. He enjoyed cars, loved fashion, reading, gardening, and traveling. He had an interest in African culture, music, and was studying Anicent Egyptian language.
Mark is survived by his daughter, Zy'rah Asanté Lamar, parents Derrick Lamar (Daniele) of St Thomas, PA and Margaret Lamar of Waynesboro, PA, four loving siblings who will miss him immensely, Dericka Lamar of Falling Waters, WV; Gabrielle Lamar of Waynesboro, PA; Katrina Lamar of Columbia, MD and Denzel Lamar of Waynesboro, PA. Mark was adored by his 8 nieces and nephews who he loved spending quality time with. He also leaves behind his friend and mother of his daughter, Lashagia Tate.
Mark was preceded in death by his brother Lorenzo Lamar of Waynesboro, PA; maternal grandparents Ernest and Demetrius Jones of Shenandoah, VA; paternal grandparents Clarence and Ann Lamar of Torrington CT.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 30, 2022 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at Harman Funeral Home, 305 North Potomac St, Hagerstown, MD. The family will have a private funeral service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to (make checks payable to Margaret Lamar) for the family to set up a fund for Mark's daughter and can be sent to Great Commission Deliverance Ministries, P.O. Box 344, Waynesboro, PA 17268.
