Obituary for Linda Lou Vandergriff (Householder)
Linda Lou (Householder) Hopkins Ridenour Vandergriff, age 76, of Hagerstown, MD died on March 6, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family and earned her heavenly wings after winning a long, hard battle with lung cancer. She was born on November 21, 1946 in Chambersburg, PA to the late David and Hazel (Amsley) Householder.
Linda graduated from James Buchanan Junior/Senior High in 1965. She worked at Citibank/CES/First Data and retired in 1997 to care for her husband (Richard Ridenour) at that time.
Linda was a member of Paramount Baptist Church, Hagerstown, MD. Linda was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, NY Yankees Fan, a NASCAR Fan, and was an exceptional shopper of everything.
Linda was the beloved wife of Robert Lavern Vandergriff of Hagerstown, MD, loving and devoted mother of Rebecca Hopkins Fleming and her wife Amanda Dawn Fleming of Hagerstown, MD, step-mother of Robert “Bobby” Lavern Vandergriff, Jr. of Tennessee and Peter James Ridenour of Ohio, sister of Peggy Bonner of Tennessee, half-sister of Joey Cullar of Tennessee, proud grandmother of Alvia Danae Kauffman and her significant other Ty Fletcher of Chambersburg, PA, Bryce Logan Kauffman and his wife Shyana Rae of St. Thomas, PA, Kamryn Laren Fleming of Hagerstown, MD, step-grandmother of Amber Leann Ridenour of Ohio, great-grandmother of Olivia Maye Kauffman and Nehemiah Jaire Fletcher, both of Chambersburg, PA, she also leaves behind her beloved fur-baby and companion Rudy.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 25th, at 10:00 am at Paramount Baptist Church, 13234 Marsh Pike, Hagerstown, MD, with Pastor Josh Fields, Pastor Jeff Leach and Pastor Lance Pratt officiating, immediately followed by a Graveside service at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park, Hagerstown, MD.
