Obituary for Lillian LeEsta Hunter (Wade)
Lillian LeEsta Wade Hunter, age 67, of Hagerstown, MD, died April 8th 2023 after a long illness. She was born March 27th 1956, the fourth child of the late Clifton Wade and LeEsta Wade.
She graduated from South Hagerstown High School and was married to Jerry Hunter. They both loved riding motorcycles, hunting and fishing. She was also an animal lover as well.
She worked for National Geographic and T.Rowe Price as a programmer. She ultimately rose to Manager of the IT department at T.Rowe Price. In doing so, she lead her team of 36 programmers, making sure T. Rowe Price had no problems during the Y2 crisis in 1999-2000.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Elvin Rammel.
Lillian was the beloved sister of Teresa Jupin and her husband, Edmond, Mary Lee Rammel and David Wade and his wife Susan, also survived by her former husband, Jerry Hunter and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 28th at 11:00am at Harman Funeral Home, 305 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown with Rev. Randy Reid officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lillian’s name to CJ Senior Care, 145 King Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740 and Holly Place, 268 South Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
