Obituary for Lawana Mae Tyler

Lawana “Tootie” Tyler, 67 years old, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed away on Wednesday December 9, 2020, at Doey’s House.

Born February 28, 1953 in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Vada Mummert.. 

Tootie was a simple lady who influenced many peoples lives. She was easy to please and enjoyed the simplest things in life. She was an avid supporter of bowling, as she would go with Phillip to offer support and spectate.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Phillip Tyler. She is also survived by her children, Brandy Young and wife Kristy of Waynesboro, PA and Dale Tyler and fiancé Angela Hackney of Fayetteville, PA, and her 5 grandchildren, Jacob, Logan, Jenaeh, Dylan and Regan. Also surviving her are her brothers and sisters, Cheryl Turner, David Mummert, Gene Mummert, Rozel Mummert, Donnie Gerhold and Jackie Mummert.

Funeral services are provided by the Potomac Valley Cremation Center, 305 N Potomac St, Hagerstown, MD. Services are to be held at a later date. Please consider making a contribution in Lawana’s name to Doey’s House, 11370 Caring Pathway Lane, Hagerstown MD 21742, 240-452-1444.
