Obituary for Helen Marie Casey
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Mother, Helen Marie Casey on Tuesday,
October 18, 2022.
She was born in Brooklyn, New York on April 20, 1939 and raised in Johnstown, PA. She is a 1957
graduate of Ferndale Area High School.
Helen passed at home after a battle of health concerns with her daughters Chrissy & Cheryl Ann,
beloved grandson Ben and her buddy Toby by her side.
She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Good Samaritan Nursing Care Facility and thoroughly loved being
at the beach, was a NASCAR Racing Fan and enjoyed creating jewelry.
If you had the pleasure knowing Helen, you knew she was genuine, caring, fun and meant what she said.
Loved ones that created a path for Helen are her husband of 63 years; Richard L. Casey, Parents Helen
Marie Galesky Karla and Robert Gustav Karla. Brother Alan Karla.
Loved ones that she leaves behind are daughters Christine and Cheryl Casey. Her Beloved grandson
Benjamin Vatavuk. Son, Jeffrey Casey, and wonderful friends and family, including the adopted ones.
