Giovanni Lawrence Kelly was born on June 1, 2005. He was the son of Darren and Sarah (Campbell) Kelly, brother of Jayden and Micah Kelly and Brooklyn, Lela and CJ Cosner.
He was preceded in death by his father Christopher Cosner, Aunt Amy Link and Grandmother Carolyn Campbell.
In addition to his parents and siblings, Gio is survived by his Grandfather Larry Campbell, Aunt Judith Campbell and Uncle Donovan McMullin, Uncle Andy (Jen) Campbell and cousins Vikki, Andrea, Joe and Tim. Grandmother Catherine Kelly. Grandparents Bob Kelly and Joanna Morrison. Uncle Brad (Ashley) Kelly and cousins Josh and Aidan. Uncles Andrew, Wade and Eliott Kelly. Aunt Tyenna Smith and cousins, including: Erianna Smith and Rosalina, Cecilia and Isabella Link. He never had the chance to meet his sister Brooklyn’s children, but he was also an uncle. Giovanni is survived by more extended family, countless friends and everyone who came into contact with him because his smile was contagious.
From the time that he was born, Vanni always had a sparkle in his eye, as if there was a joke and only he knew the punchline. Giovanni had amazing taste in clothes, music, books, movies and TV series. He was a gifted athlete who knew how to win and lose.
Landon Jordan was his best friend and Derek, Becky, Dylan and Madison became Vanni’s second family.
Giovanni had unwavering faith in God his entire life. He is safe in Grandma’s arms and playing baseball and football with Clint and Brant.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 7, at 2 pm at Smithsburg Valley Church. All are welcome.
