Obituary for Doris Jane Taddeo

Doris “Dottie” J. Taddeo, 71, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2021, peacefully at her home. She was the daughter of Homer A. and Ida Pearl Kibler. She retired from Hagerstown Kitchens.

Dottie’s joy in life was caring for others. Dottie was devoted to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved watching her grandchildren playing sports. She enjoyed helping the ill and the disadvantaged. Was always the “goof” of the party – always being a practical joker. Dottie was an avid softball player, duckpin bowler, enjoyed shuffleboard, and played in an APA 9 Ball Pool League.

She was preceded in death by her parents Homer A. and Ida P. Kibler and her granddaughter Brittany M. Neville.

Dottie is survived by her children Earl E. Neville Sr; and his wife Bobbi Sue Neville of Falling Waters, WV, Leroy Neville Jr of Hagerstown, MD, Sherry L. Hott, and husband David W. Hott of Waynesboro, PA. She was also survived by her grandchildren Ashley N. Neville and fiancé Matt W. Bradley, Earl “Bubba” E. Neville Jr., and wife Ashley L. Neville, Eric A. Hott, and wife Regan M. Hott, Ethan E. Hott, David A. Burger, and girlfriend Katlin Recabo, and Shane R. Ripple, and fiancé Jenna Whiteley. She also was survived by her great-grandchildren Addison M. Fitz, Noah D. Fitz, Ryan N. Neville, Eli M. Neville, Alden A. Hott, Tyler A. Ripple, and Emily M Bradley. She is survived by brothers and sisters Robert L. Kibler, Ella M. Weaver, and husband Todd Weaver, George A. Kibler, and wife Bev Kibler, Linda S. Davis, and husband Roger L. Davis, Martha J. Burner, and Delores J. Surrena, and husband, Mike Surrena and also, survived by many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, April 26, between 4 pm-8 pm at Harman Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 28 at 1:00 pm at Harman Funeral Home at 305 N. Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD. The burial will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg, MD. The family invites you to a Celebration of Dottie’s Life at The Williamsport Red Men following graveside services.
