Obituary for Donna Marie Taggart (Taggart)

Donna Marie Taggart, 65 years old, of Boonsboro, MD, and formerly of Brookline, MA, died Tuesday, October 11, 2022, at the Hospice of Washington County’s Doey’s House, after a fierce battle with cancer. She was born on November 22, 1955, to Walter “Buddy” Taggart and Estelle “Stella” Taggart. Donna, a native of Brookline, MA,
graduated from Brookline Highschool in 1973, where she kickstarted a 25-plus-year career in finance and accounting at Brookline Red Cab and the Marriot.

Donna was proud of her family, Irish-Scottish roots, and Brookline heritage. Everyone knew the Mulford St. Taggart’s, and Donna was the youngest—no doubt cramping her older sister's and brothers' style. Donna loved her family and cats, her adoptive dogs Paislee, Teddy, and Finnigan, friends, cooking, shopping, pool days at her nephew's, girls' days out with Branin and crew, Days of Our Lives, Dunkin’s iced coffee, and she loved to instigate—shining a beacon on that stubborn Taggart trait we’ve all come to know and love.

Donna will be lovingly remembered by her brother Glenn Taggart, brother-in-law Stephen Delaney, Nieces and Nephews Sean Delaney, Scott Delaney, Colin Taggart, Kim Taggart Grover, Kelly Taggart Owens, Blair Taggart, Michael Taggart, Kerri Taggart Atton, Kayla Taggart, and dozens of great nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Buddy and Stella Taggart, siblings Walter “Jay” Taggart and Gale Taggart Delaney, Grandmother Ma Williams, and niece Margaret Taggart Grant.

Services will be private. Instead of flowers, the family requests donations are made to The
American Cancer Society, an organization Donna felt strongly about.

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

A Celebration of Donna’s life has not been scheduled. The family will make an announcement
once the details are finalized.
