Obituary for Donald Edward Wilson
Donald Edward Wilson, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 22, 2021. He died at Meritus Medical Center of Hagerstown, MD, with his wife and children by his side.
Born April 9, 1953, he was the youngest son of the late Frank Jesse Wilson and Lenora Ann Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife, Cheryl, and three daughters, Melody, Harmony, and Symphony, as well as their spouses, Alex and Kyle, and his grandchildren, Joy, Gus, Xander, and Xavier. He was preceded by his parents, older brother Dennis Wilson and sister Wanda Magee. He is also survived by his siblings, Judy Osgood, Joyce Nance, and Ronald Wilson.
Donald was born and raised in Florida, primarily Hardee County. He was a class of 1971 graduate of Hardee County High School. He graduated from Southeastern College where he met his wife, Cheryl. He was a treasured pastor of the Assemblies of God for over 30 years, serving in Florida, Virginia, and Maryland. Later in life, he transitioned to owning a property business in the Hagerstown area and was a beloved landlord. He had a wonderful smile, was quick with a joke, and had a compassionate heart for others.
The family will be holding a small private family only memorial service at Harman Funeral Home on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 6 PM with a public visitation gathering at 7 PM after the service.
