Dennis Katchur, age 85, of Hagerstown, MD passed away peacefully Tuesday November 22, 2022, at his home surrounded by family. “Denny” was born on December 2,1936 in McKeesport PA.

He joined the Army, followed by the Army Reserves, and then spent his career working at Fort Derick in Frederick, Maryland before retiring as MSG (E-8).

Denny was also a great bartender working at Frances Scott Key Hotel. He was also active in the Masons reaching the level of Master Mason.

He is survived by his wife, Faye Louisa (Kendall), two daughters, Denise Reynard and Andrea Munson, five grandchildren, Taylor Compton, Nolan Compton, Deni Gonsalves, Grant Spencer and Ethan Compton, four great grandchildren, Connor, Charlie, Ava and Tessa. He was dearly loved by his children and grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Harman Funeral Home, 305 North Potomac Street, Hagerstown, MD.
