Obituary for Clara Joanne Baker (Brill)
Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us. Saturday May 21,2022 Clara Joanne (Brill) Baker rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings with her husband of 64 years by her side.
She was born July 19,1939 in Capon Bridge WV. She was a stay at home mom. She received her associates degree in business making the dean’s list and worked briefly for Community Rescue Services in Hagerstown MD. Joanne loved spending time with her family, doing crafts and writing a family history book with her father.
Her family grieves her loss, but they take comfort knowing that She is with her mom and dad again. She is survived by her husband Allen Baker Sr. of Hagerstown MD, brother Richard Brill wife Diane of Hagerstown MD son Allen Baker II, wife Paula of Leetown WV, daughter Lonna Fraley of Greencastle PA, son Samuel Baker wife Jennifer of Martinsburg WV son Richard Baker of Hagerstown MD, seven grandchildren Bobby Gallihugh and his wife Jennifer, Paul Baker and his wife Beth, Amber Greene and her fiancé Ernest Mellott, Ray Baker fiancée Katelyn Roberts, Kristina Mowen and her husband Steven, Cindy Knepper and her husband Brent, Holly Baker and ten great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Margaret Brill and son-in-law Michael Fraley.
Celebration of life will be held will be held Saturday May 28, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Shilo Methodist Church, 19731 Shiloh Church Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21742. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Washington County. Online condolences may be made at www.potomaccremation.com.
